Does Your Mother Know?
I didn't dance at all yesterday. I felt pretty sick and busy with school. I feel less sick and busy today. Hip hip.

Train of Thought
Hey, remember when I kicked my file box and later dropped my earring? Man this is a thrilling, thrilling read.

Here I Am (Come and Take Me)
Here are some observations after watching this clip:
* I really need to take that dress to the cleaners - it's been sitting on the chair for months, and it's not going to clean itself
* I shouldn't wear that striped shirt as much as I do - it doesn't fit that well and it curls up at the bottom
* it's time to take the painter's tape off the floor
* the only thing sadder than a girl dancing alone in her basement apartment is a girl dancing alone in her messy basement apartment

Just What I Needed
I really really love the Cars.
My glasses are a few years old and the plastic apparently has hardened and they don't adjust well anymore. Sometimes they fall off when I'm doing yoga or when I'm dancing really really hard. They fell off during one of the air guitar portions of this dance.

I'm A Mountain
I am trying to read 300+ pages of a counseling textbook before Monday. Only an hour in and I already need a dance break. Blah. Who hearts block week courses? I heart block week courses.

I Turn My Camera On
Happy New Year!
Is is weird that I snuck away downstairs to dance in front of my computer while there's a party going on upstairs?

Nothing More To Say
Bye bYe Mister D. You will be missed. You touched so many lives. You warmed my heart - and sometimes cooled it. I loved it when you dropped a beat and hated it when you stole stuff off my desk. I will not forget you. Ever.

Step Into My Office, Baby
I had a nice discussion today about how there is nothing sadder than a girl dancing alone in her basement apartment. I agree. I have never really watched myself dance before this little project. I could really use some new moves. I'm going to start adding more kicks to my repertoire. And maybe I shouldn't wear this shirt as often. I really like how it's white and pretty and doesn't cling. AND it could hide a pregnancy for many months - no questions asked.
And now, ladies and gentleman....a sad girl dancing alone in her messy basement apartment to Belle and Sebastian.

A Teenager In Love
I'm back at home. You can kind of see that my place is a disaster. I wore my special lion-tamer's jacket for part of the dance. A Teenager In Love - Pains of Being Pure at Heart.

Boxing Day Special
I tried to post a clip of a half-hearted attempt to boogie down on a heavy-feeling day. (I think it's time to boycott baking once again). This little number took place in my parent's basement. I tried to get fancy with a stool, but my balance wasn't/isn't so good. Maybe tomorrow will be a little better. Okay, so just picture a dance to Marvin Gaye's "Got To Give It Up". Technology kicks my ass again.

Merry Christmas!
It's almost my half birthday which means that I have only 6 months left in my 20s. I thought about what goals I would like to work towards. The only goal I could think of was "more dance". So...I hope to dance 100 hours before I turn 30. I started working towards the dancing goal a little early (I just couldn't wait!). I started last night.
Hours completed: 0.25
Hours to go: 99.75
I also went a little crazy and started video recording the dancing. It's a little weird. I don't know how long I will find it to be amusing, and I'm not too sure what I'm going to do with the footage. So far it's been a good time.
